Classes

Whether you are an absolute beginner or just wanting to expand your knowledge in your craft, Alaskan Expressions has classes for everyone. Offering classes in knit, crochet, cold process soap making, cheese making, and more. Class settings can be one on one or in groups.

I am excited to announce that if your child is enrolled with Raven Homeschool, Focus Homeschool, or Idea Homeschool they can now take classes with Alaskan Expressions. Ask your students teacher about scheduling a class. 

Focus Homeschool group classes will be held at Focus Homeschool building and paid for by Focus Homeschool for Focus Homeschool students. The Scheduled classes are as follows:

Knitting 101- Students will learn the fundamentals of knitting and receive a starting kit for everything needed to start knitting. Students will learn to make a dish cloth in this 2-week course that will be held Oct 1st and 8th at 2-4p.m.

Crochet 101- Students will learn the fundamentals of crocheting and receive a staring kit for everything needed to start crocheting. Students will learn to make a dish cloth in the 2-week course that will be held Oct 22nd and 29th at 2-4p.m.

Knitting hat class - In this class those that are ready to learn to knit and a circle and make their very first knit hat. Project Kit will be included with class. Kit includes yarn and pattern for project. Needles are NOT included for this class. This 2 week Class will be held Nov 5th and 12th at 2-4p.m.

Crochet headband class - This class is for those ready to learn how to crochet in a circle and make their first headband. Project Knit is included with class. Kit includes yarn and pattern. Crochet Hook and yarn needle are NOT included for this class. This class will be held Nov 19th and 26th at 2-4p.m.

Soap making 101- In this class students will learn the fundamentals of soap making and how to incorporate Alaskan sourced ingredients to their soaps. Please make sure student wears long sleeves to class as we will be working with lye which can cause burns. This class will be held Dec 3rd at 2-4p.m.
